Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

What is the best way to make exercising fun? One great way is to plan activities that they can accomplish with a friend.

My second grade students love the outdoors and are excited every chance they get to jump rope, hula hoop, or play a sport.

For recess they rotate on a schedule that allows them a chance to play a different sport each week. For many of my students school is their only opportunity to be active.

My Project

"Better Together" is the theme we are currently studying in our Reading program. The materials that I am requesting will extend this theme to the outdoors and give students the opportunity to see that being fit and active is much more fun when we work together. My students will learn that through partner games and activities they can accomplish more. The partner parachute and bean bags will give students opportunities to collaborate and work as a team to accomplish a goal. They will discover that exercising is fun and will keep them fit for life.
