Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This set of Scholastic News would be a great resource to add to our classroom. The students will have an opportunity to read about news outside of the Bronx, while still reinforcing the reading skills we have learned and reviewed this year. Furthermore, the students don’t have access to many informational texts so this will serve as a supplement for that part of our library! There are also activities that can be used to help with comprehension. My students are such hard-workers and love to read, so these magazines should be the perfect fit!
