Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In 2nd Grade, students are curious, compassionate, and eager to learn. They love stories, and through The Bad Seed, Here We Are, and The Couch Potato, they will explore important lessons about growth, cause and effect, and environmental responsibility.

With the help of seed starter kits, my students will plant real seeds and observe how sunlight, water, and care help them grow.

As they care for their plants, they’ll learn the importance of nurturing living things and taking responsibility for the environment. By keeping journals, tracking growth, and measuring plants, they will make scientific observations and develop math skills.

This project includes recycled craft supplies to help students get creative while learning about reusing materials. By combining reading, science, math, and hands-on activities, students will understand their role in protecting the Earth.

Please help give my students the opportunity to explore the world around them through books, gardening, and creativity. With your support, they’ll develop a lifelong love of learning and become responsible stewards of the environment.
