My kids:
Hello! I teach first grade at a high needs school serving predominately military dependents and children learning English as a second language. Many of my students have a least one parent currently deployed overseas and most have moved frequently throughout their short lives.
The problem:
In order to provide my students the most enriching education possible, each year we hatch duck eggs in our classroom. This is an exciting and educational experience for the students. One they never, ever forget. After the ducklings hatch, they live at school in a grassy area for the whole school to take care of and enjoy. Our incubator is antiquated and I am afraid without a new one we will not be able to continue with this project.
The Solution:
We need to replace our incubator with a new one. Without a new incubator, future students will miss out on this exciting, learning experience.
You will make it possible for all students at my school to experience the life cycle of a duck first hand - an unforgettable experience.
