This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The acquisition of William Shakespeare's Henry IV Part I & II will profoundly impact my students' learning by immersing them in the rich language, complex characters, and timeless themes of this iconic play. Through engaging with the text firsthand, students will enhance their critical thinking skills, deepen their understanding of literature, and develop an appreciation for Shakespeare's craft.

My goal for this project is to ignite a passion for Shakespearean literature and foster a deeper connection to the human experience.

What makes my students special is their diversity, resilience, and enthusiasm for learning. I love their unique perspectives, creativity, and willingness to engage with challenging material. Each resource will provide them with the opportunity to explore topics of power, honor, and identity, while honing their analytical and communication skills. Through discussions, performances, and other creative projects, students will develop empathy, critical thinking, and a love for literature that will serve them well beyond the classroom. Ultimately, these experiences will empower them to navigate the complexities of the world with confidence and compassion.

Ms. Wesson will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by September 1.
