This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with a lovely group of students with disabilities from kindergarten to third grade. Elementary school teachers must do 200 minutes of physical education with their students every ten school days. The physical education materials I am requesting are a soccer ball, a football, a basketball, a kickball, and a beginner's bowling set. Body movements have a significant impact on mental well-being. It is also essential for brain development in young children since it helps them with coordination, body awareness, memory, and more. Also, some of my students with special needs (autism, orthopedic impairment, specific learning disabilities, speech and language impairment) in our classroom do not know how to use a jump rope, so those are included in our list. I am also asking for a rolling cart to carry all our new physical education equipment to the yard.
By donating to our project, you will be helping my students with special needs improve their mental health by staying active, managing weight, and strengthening their bodies and muscles while playing outdoors.
My younger students in K-1 grades enjoy bubbles, so after exercising, they will have fun popping bubbles! We appreciate your time to read about our special day classroom.
