This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

It's time to enjoy learning. I want my class of 2nd graders to challenge themselves and be actively engaged in their learning. I love that there are so many interactive experiments that can be used in direct alignment with the ccss and make learning fun.

My children are homeless and they amaze me on a daily basis.

My school is connected to an inner city homeless shelter and parents are extremely supportive in their children's education while getting back on their feet. My kids love coming to school and are excited about learning anything new.

My Project

I can't wait to open the NEW interactive materials and let my children be the first to ever play them. I will incorporate all of the materials into something that we use frequently. I guarantee the children will be thrilled and grateful when they realize what we will be getting. I have been a teacher for 10 years and absolutely love working at a homeless school. My students did not choose to be homeless and deserve a great education and all of the resources that children in other schools receive. We are so small we don't have a library or cafeteria, I want my children to feel successful and receive the best education possible.
