My Students
Our students come from across our city and our entire school qualifies for free lunch and transportation to and from school based on the fact that the majority of our students live below the poverty level.
Despite the issues facing our students, they come to school every day and persevere.
Most every student attends college post-graduation. Our students need any support available, as our school and district often cannot provide the resources necessary for our students to compete with other high schools in our region.
My Project
We are requesting funding for new travel sweatsuits for the Varsity and JV Boys Basketball Team. Your support will go a long way to helping our team replace the worn-out sweatsuits they are currently wearing.
Our kids work hard throughout the year to build chemistry and be great student-athletes on the court and in the classroom.
Being able to get new sweatsuits would really help motivate them even further.
Your continued support of athletics in urban public schools is needed to give students like ours a chance to compete given the lack of resources available within already stretched thin budgets. We are specifically asking for new sweatsuits to travel to games and for warm ups.
