The students in my school exhibit a wide range of cultural diversity. They come from many different countries and speak different languages. In addition, they are diversified in their socioeconomic status, academic levels, and social/emotional needs. We work together to unify through diversity.
At our school, all students come together as a unified community of learners.
The students in my Physical Education classroom are lovers of learning through play. They love to learn new skills, try new activities, be competitive, and play team sports. My students cherish the school day where they are able to participate in team activities which allow them to learn to collaborate, think strategically, and become better problem solvers.
My Project
My students engage in intramural team sports such as t-ball and it is important to teach them the proper way to hit a ball. Many of my students do not have the opportunity to play team sports and don't have much of a skill set.
Teaching the players how to hit requires specific equipment.
Tees are an excellent tool for beginners when it comes to learning how to make contact with the ball. Also, it is much safer and easier for players to retrieve and catch whiffle balls.
Players that are taught the basic fundamentals of any team sports experience much more success than those that don't learn those specific fundamentals. That success leads to more interest in participating in those team sports.
