Help me give my students an ice maker, microwave, chargers and other basics to help them be successful. I work with underprivileged students that often need help with food. These items will allow me to help give them warm meals.
I want to express my gratitude for your ongoing support of our students at my school. As you know, we are an underprivileged school, and many of our students face challenges that extend beyond academics. We have a more than 50% poverty rate in our school and several of my students struggle with the basic supplies. To better serve them, I am reaching out to request donations for essential classroom supplies, specifically a microwave, some microwave meals, ice machine, laptop chargers, and whiteboard markers. These items will not only help provide warm meals to students who often come to school hungry but also enhance their learning environment.
Having a microwave and microwave meals will enable us to offer warm meals that support our students’ well-being, while whiteboard markers are crucial for engaging lessons.
The students, unfortunately, forget to charge their laptops frequently, having class chargers will also ensure students are prepared. Since we are the last class in the hallway, we are far away from water for the students. The ice machine, paired with the existing water I keep in the classroom, will allow students to get drinks without needing to be gone for 10 minutes at a time to get water. The microwave meals will make it possible for students to have a warm meal for lunch or before they leave for home. A quick snack like macaroni and cheese can make all the difference in a child who may not get anything for dinner that night.
