This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My first graders always walk in with a smile on their faces ready to learn. They always strive for academic readiness no matter what the situation is.
During this pandemic many of our students families were affected by COVID 19 and they are struggling emotionally and financially due to losing their jobs or being laid off.
My students come from a very low socio-economic area, with very little resources to engage them in learning. The students that make up my classroom are 99% low income and at risk for dropping out before finishing high-school.
I want to build a stress free foundation in my classroom, so when they leave my classroom they are motivated and excited about learning. I want them to carry the passion of learning with them forever. Your support and generosity is greatly appreciated.
My Project
Purchasing these crayons, markers, pencils, glue and construction paper needed for school, will be a tremendous strain on the families. This will help parents that lost their jobs or parents that are laid off due to the COVID pandemic. This project could help them be stress free and one less thing they have to worry about. The donations for this project will improve classroom academic achievement as it is important that the students have the necessary school supplies in order to have a successful school year.
As a teacher, it is my utmost responsibility to create a stress free learning environment for all of my students.
Our parents and students have so much to be worried about; educational needs should not be one of those worries.
