My Project
I have very hard working students, eager to learn with very supportive parents. Although we have a poverty rate of around 85%, 26 per cent of our students take and pass at least one Advanced Placement test, about 10 percentage points above the state level.
Studying the prevalence of diagnosable conditions will help students develop a greater empathy for others who have been marginalized, at least in part to Psychological conditions.
Students will also develop a better understanding of intersectionality, people being discriminated against because of mental health concerns and at lest on other individual personal characteristic.
Additionally, students will gain an appreciation of students and adults who have been unfairly stigmatized because of ongoing mental health difficulties.
Student will also acquire a higher mental health literacy across differing cultures and countries
More than half of students from low‑income households
