My Project

Utilizing the Little Spot of Emotions books in the classroom can greatly benefit students by providing them with a fun and interactive way to learn about emotions and develop emotional intelligence. The engaging illustrations and relatable stories can help children understand and express their feelings, improve their social skills, and build empathy towards others. These books will be used for teaching important emotional literacy skills and to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students.

In the Special Education setting, these books have been an effective tool for teaching SEL.

Students not only learn about different feelings, but also how to manage them. Filled with creative coping strategies, the books provide students with a variety of ways to appropriately express feelings that they don’t always understand. Paired with flexible seating, the classroom library will be complete with these sets.
