My Project

As an eighth-grade social studies teacher, I strive to bring history to life for my students. Whether we're exploring the Civil Rights Movement, analyzing primary sources, or diving into interactive lessons on the U.S. Constitution, my students benefit most when they can engage with multimedia content in a focused and personalized way.

Unfortunately, many of my students lack access to personal headphones, which limits their ability to participate in digital learning activities fully.

With a class set of headphones, my students will be able to:

* Listen to historical documentaries and podcasts aligned to Georgia Standards of Excellence.

* Access audio accommodations for reading and testing.

* Engage in self-paced lessons and research using educational platforms like Nearpod, BrainPOP, and Discovery Education.

* Work independently or in small groups without distractions or noise interference.

These headphones will support all learners, especially those with IEPs and 504 plans, by providing equitable access to audio resources. They will also help create a more focused classroom environment where students can take ownership of their learning.
