My Project
My classroom is very diverse. Last year alone I had 3 students whose first US classroom was mine. They came in knowing very little English if any.
Can you imagine walking into a new place, new country, all new faces and not understanding what anyone is saying?
I tried my best to make them feel comfortable and communicate but with my very limited Spanish knowledge I know a lot was missed. Starting a new school can be scary alone, so I want to help ease the confusions and help these newcomers feel comfortable and safe. I saw an ad for this device (translator) and knew I needed one asap. The other items in this listing will be used as prizes and incentives during class. I love using positive reinforcement and I think these items will also help these newcomers build friendships. I mean who wouldn't love playing with slime!
