Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am the school's Clinical Coordinator for the Emotional Impairment strand and I serve students who are living in financially insecure households, have experienced childhood trauma, are in foster care, or have DCF involvement. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional resources to use in their development of regulating their emotions. A lot of students are working through self-regulation strategies to help them in their classrooms. The puzzles are a great brain break and therapy tool that allows for play while talking. The therapy putty is a great resource for students when they are upset or to use during therapy. In addition to that, the books will help me continue to develop fun therapeutic activities.
