Helping Small Hands Do Big Things; Dream, Believe, and Achieve
Help me give my students the opportunity to take the (Dis) out of disability and put the (FUN) in functional by giving me the opportunity to provide and incorporate fun and engaging ways to improve fine motor skills!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
In Occupational Therapy, we tend to see things through a different lens. We focus on the ability rather than the disability. I want my exceptional students living with Autism to live a life with no limits. By purchasing a tablet for my students, you will be assisting them along their journey of growth. Incorporating a tablet into their sessions, allows the students to have the opportunity to improve their skills in areas such a fine motor, visual perceptual, and visual motor through fun interactive games and activities. This will also help to instill confidence and independence in each child and promote positive experiences in their daily lives. This will also allow them to engage in play, apply meaning to what is seen, write letters and numbers, complete math problems, and copy shapes. Thank you in advance!
