Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students are not always comfortable coming to the board so having a tablet that will be able to allow them to be anywhere in the room to do the work via the interactive TV will help students who are extra shy be able to do the work. Also, students need periodic tables in their hands when we are doing conversions the current paper print outs are not great, they are paper and also not in color so they don't see the sections broken so having them in color and also having them laminated would give us the ability to write on them and use them over and over again. Ordering a wall poster tapestry will give them a visual we can all use during the lesson.
Students with disabilities can be extra shy but they are still able to do the work.
I co-teach Chemistry and Physics. So having such an interactive device other than an iPad (I'm getting a Google tablet) hopefully this will help bridge that gap. I can't wait to see how this works with the kids. Also having the periodic table that we can write on will help me see who is having difficulty.
