My Students
Our classroom community consist of 16 five year old kindergarteners who are from various parts of the island on Oahu. They come from different ethnic groups and backgrounds. We have students who receive ELL and SPED services in the classroom.
However, they all have one common interest in being life-long learners.
They are very curious and full of enthusiasm. They have been very resilient during this very difficult time and love to come to school every other day to learn and interact with their peers and teachers. The excitement that they have for learning is very contagious and even with the lack of resources and materials they hardly ever complain. However it is our job to give them the best opportunity to learn and thrive in the world that we live in today. These students are our future. Are you willing to invest in our future?
My Project
Technology is essential. In today's world our students need to know how to use technology. With distance learning, technology has become more important than ever.
Programs such as google classroom, seesaw, and google slides have become an everyday norm for all students and teachers.
Our students need to use google meets to see their resource teachers via iPad. However, with constant budget cuts our school doesn't have enough money to buy the necessary equipment as technology is so expensive, and priority usually goes to the uppers grades and not Kindergarteners.
