Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My amazing students need a safe and comfortable learning environment. These young people are an amazing group of students who love to learn. They are a large group of fifth-grade students who will come to me for Math and Language Arts instruction each day. These students struggle with poverty and the majority of them participate in the free and reduced-priced lunch program.
Located in North Georgia, my school has students who struggle with even the most basic necessities.
Food, clothing, and housing are some of the major struggles that these students face, however those are problems that are difficult to fix. As a grade level, we noticed that the majority of our students are lacking even the most basic hygienic essentials. Shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, and even hairbrushes are missing from these students lives. Our grade level has creat d a hygiene closer that our students can use to discreetly get all of the hygiene items they need! Shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and more will fill our shelves and make these necessities available to our students. Please help us stock our hygiene closet!
My Project
Help us stock our hygiene closet! Our students are lacking basic necessities such as deodorant, shampoo, toothbrushes, and toothpaste to help them be happy and healthy at school each day. These supplies will be given to any and all students in need, and they will make a huge difference for them. Peer pressure and bullying are rampant these days, and no one deserves to be subjected to them due to the lack of money for basic hygeinic supplies. Please help us stock our hygiene closet with the supplies that our students need to be happy, healthy, and smelling good each day at school.
