I am asking for supplies to help our community. More than three-quarters of students come from low-income households and many families struggle to provide the needed supplies for a new school year.
Every student deserves a fresh start each year with the school supplies they need to be successful.
Over ten years ago we started a "Back to School Bash" program to help students in need. This program provides book bags filled with basic supplies to students in grades k-12. When the program initially started we distributed 25 book bags. This year that number has grown to 67 book bags distributed and we continue to fill requests. Due to the rising cost of supplies and the growing need within the community, it is becoming difficult to keep the program running.
With your help, we can ensure that the "Back to School Bash" program continues! Students will use basic supplies such as glue, crayons, scissors, pencils, highlighters, and Post-it notes to learn throughout the year. Together we can empower the next generation and ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed!
