Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The project will help students build communication, social connectedness, teamwork, and many other social-emotional aspects. It will also help promote a deeper understanding and empathy for what is going on in our world! The push for community action projects is essential in enabling students to be actively aware of the various difficulties that exist in our society, especially the increased violence in our communities. Students will have the opportunity to promote Peace through their words, and designs and through creating fashion products with these sublimation sweatshirts. Helping others feels good.

Helping others can also improve our support networks and encourage us to be more active.

We are hoping to make unique and personalized sweatshirts for the local homeless center. We are hoping to let women know there that we are there for them.

This, in turn, can improve our self-esteem. There is some evidence to suggest that when we help others, it can promote changes in the brain that are linked with happiness.
