it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am researching and training myself on how to teach the Orton Gillingham program to my students who are dyslexic. The teacher's guide will help me follow the program and the decodable books and workbooks will help my students learn how to read and write. These resources will enable me to teach the program to these students so they understand the principles of reading and can learn how to sound out words and read books. The books will also enable the children to improve their fluency in words and improve their comprehension. By teaching the children the Orton Gillingham program, I know the students will improve their reading skills. By the children seeing their success in reading, their self-esteem and self-confidence will improve.
