it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I’m requesting a class set of noise-canceling headphones (not connected to any devices) to help my students concentrate during independent work, tests, reading time, and other quiet learning activities. These headphones will not be used for listening to audio, they’re simply meant to block out distractions in order to create a calm, focused learning space.
Whether it's classroom chatter, hallway noise, or even a pencil tapping across the room, these small sounds can make it tough for students especially those with attention difficulties or sensory sensitivities—to stay engaged.
Having access to headphones will give students the choice and control they need to create their ideal learning environment.
By reducing background noise, students will be able to better focus on their work, build stamina during reading and writing, and feel less overwhelmed in a bustling classroom. These headphones will especially support students with ADHD, anxiety, and sensory processing challenges—helping them thrive in a more comfortable, distraction-free zone.
