This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are bright, hardworking, and full of potential. Many of them are learning English or have different learning needs, and they each bring something special to our classroom community. Like most first graders, they have a lot of energy and big emotions and sometimes they just need a moment to reset.

Sensory tools like fidgets, calming strips, and textured items help students self-regulate, stay focused, and feel safe.

These tools will support students who feel overwhelmed, distracted, or anxious, and allow them to rejoin learning when they're ready. With your help, we can create a calm and supportive classroom where every child can thrive.
