Helping Kindergartners Become Tech Savvy

My students need opportunities to expand their technological knowledge and coding skills in the ever changing landscape of education and technology. Osmo will assist my student in a multitude of ways, from spelling to coding!

My Students

My kindergarteners in Phoenix are fun, creative, smart, savvy, and resourceful, especially in today’s ever-changing educational landscape. On a daily basis, my students shock and amaze me with how much they already know as well as how much they want to learn and grow.

Kindergarteners are eager learners who adapt to new technologies at an early age, which aids in their ability to be local and global explorers.

My students come from various backgrounds, which makes for a well-rounded classroom with a variety of viewpoints. What they learn in this first year can greatly impact how and what they learn in their educational journey.

My Project

I am seeking the Osmo interactive system for my class to be used during small group math and English language arts centers.

With four Genius Starter Kits, four Coding Awbie games, and two Monster Games sets, I will be able to use this system all year long to expand on technological learning, coding, English language arts, spelling, reading, collaboration, and much more.

I intend for the system to be used by four students at a time with the exception of the the Monster Game to be used in pairs. If the project is funded, I will teach my students how to properly use the technology to best assist their learning. This will give my students more opportunities to learn and grow.
