Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students have been working in a blended learning setting this year so far, but as of today have switched to fully remote. Many still do not have devices that could help them learn, or are working on outdated devices that they struggle with.
I want to help provide them with technology that will help them excel at home, as well as in school.
With the right device with all capabilities they will not fall behind in my subject (social studies) or any of their subjects.
My Project
My students have switched back to remote learning indefinitely. Many are upset because they do not have the appropriate technology they need at home, and cannot complete their school work and fear falling behind. These laptops can give given to students temporarily to help them.
With these laptops with full keyboards, students can type easier, open and view multiple windows, and be able to complete work easier and faster.
Many students opted into in-person learning specifically because of their lack of technology, and are stuck in the same position now as they were in the spring.
