Helping Kids Achieve Success In Math
My students need a class set of learning wrap ups (x,/,+,-,fractions) and math work books. These will help them to memorize their basic facts and boost their confidence in Math!
Math is a subject that constantly builds upon previously learned concepts. The moment a student struggles with a concept , it becomes hard for them to gain success. My students are currently struggling with the basic math facts and I would like to have them leave me at the end of the year confident!
I teach many different students throughout the day!
As an ESE educator I see many different students who are struggling on a day to day basis due to lack of confidence and success in learning their math facts. I also teach many English Language Learners who need that extra tool to help them succeed. My day to day job is to help give these students the education and accommodations they need!
The products I am requesting are Math Wrap Ups. I remember playing with them as a child at my mothers office. They are just like a game but it inspires the children to learn their facts. Once the students have wrapped their cord around the key they can flip it over to see if their lines match up! Its a great self corrector tool as well as motivator. Not only will it be successful but I see it easing the frustration of many of my ESOL students as well.
Everyday a child is left behind.
The curriculum pacing is so fast that a student finds themselves learning division before they understand multiplication. If you can imagine going into work everyday and not knowing how to preform your job. This is exactly how these kids feel, they want to achieve but have just lost their confidence because they feel they got left behind. These tools will help them get back on track so that they can move forward feeling like they are ahead of the game!
