My Project

I am going into my 18th school year teaching. I love teaching in an urban district and will always do so! However, often times this comes as a huge financial burden for teachers. Students rarely come prepared with the most basic items they need to be successful in the classroom. This then causes teachers to spend their own money, which places a financial burden on them.

I am a tenth-grade special education English teacher.

I absolutely love my students and my job. It is a crucial year and class for my students because of the MCAS English test graduation requirement. We work really hard all school year to ensure that the students are well-prepared. The supplies I am requesting for funding will help my students as we learn test-taking strategies and practice peer discourse.
