My Project

As I am moving to a first-grade inclusion classroom next school year, I strive to create a safe, nurturing space where all students can learn to understand and manage their emotions. Many students face challenge with self-regulation, attention, and emotional expression, and they need consistent, developmentally appropriate tools to help them feel calm, connected and ready to learn.

This project will help me build a calm-down corner, introduce mindfulness routines, and provide sensory tools that support emotional intelligence and self-awareness.

These resources will not only benefit students with IEPs but will also support our entire classroom community by fostering kindness, empathy, and emotional safety.
