Help me give my students quality headphones with microphones and earbuds for testing, listening centers, and online programs, along with wall-mounted hat racks to keep their personal items organized and their workspace clutter-free.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our ESE Intensive Behavior Intervention (IBI) classroom, structure, focus, and sensory support are essential for student success. My students are exceptional learners who benefit from targeted supports to help them stay engaged and regulated throughout the day. Many of them struggle with sensory processing, attention difficulties, or behavior challenges, and learning environments with excess noise can be overwhelming.
This project will provide our class with durable on-ear headphones with microphones and a set of individually wrapped earbuds for quieter, more focused learning experiences during independent work, computer-based interventions, and state testing.
Whether they're practicing math fluency, listening to a read-aloud, or using speech-to-text tools, headphones allow them to engage with content without auditory distractions. In addition, the adhesive hat rack hooks will be used to give each student a designated place to store their headphones—helping teach responsibility, organization, and respect for shared materials. These small hooks go a long way in supporting classroom routines and keeping our space calm and clutter-free.
