My Students

Middle school students are a different breed! They are bright, funny, inspiring, emotional, intense, energetic, and extremely talented. In the midst of discovering who they will become as they continue to grow, they are learning and developing new skills and talents. As their teacher, it is my job to love, support, and encourage them as they navigate through this crazy world called "Middle School."

My students are an amazing group of kids from all over the world - literally!

As an ESOL teacher, I work with students whose second language is English. Many come to me shy, a little scared and nervous, yet eager to learn. At times, they speak little to no English and are placed into classrooms where only English is spoken. Imagine how difficult that would be!

Even with these challenges, they are strong young men and women who realize the value and importance of a strong education. They work harder, study longer, and push themselves to be the best they can be. As hard as middle school already is for kids this age, my students embrace it. They celebrate their differences and the success of one another. They are an inspiration to me!

My Project

In these unprecedented times, quality online learning platforms are essential to learning. As an educator, it is my job to navigate the virtual world and provide the BEST learning opportunities to my students. Study. com is one of the best! Their collection of lessons and teaching resources will engage my students with a collection of bite-sized, animated video lessons for every subject and level and accompanying assessments.

With this incredible resource, my students will benefit from differentiated lessons that will make grade level content accessible to them as newcomer English Language Learners!

We don't know what the future holds, so being face to face in the school building today can quickly change back to complete virtual or eLearning tomorrow! Study.com provides lessons that can easily move between the in-person classroom and the virtual classroom. It is exactly what we need to ensure success for our ELLs!
