My Students

I teach science and engineering to 450 K-5 students at an amazing school. Students come in to my class naturally curious , thoughtful builders and have huge caring heart. My students come from a variety of different backgrounds . We have a diverse culture of kids and a mix of socio-economic levels. All students come in ready to take what they know and apply it to science and engineering.

It is an honor to be part of my students learning journey, and strive to provide them rich opportunities to inspire them to use science and engineering.

My Project

I have the pleasure of working with some of the best future engineers and scientists. The materials in the EIE " To The Rescue: Dropping Air Packages" will help students look at the problem of when a natural disaster takes place how important it is to be able to drop supplies closely to those most impacted.

When young students see how they impact others in need, they truly are motivated to seek the best solution, be engineers and make a difference.

This kit walks students through a possible natural disaster , and how important it is to make a parachute that can focus on accuracy and making sure the supplies are not taken care of.

By experiencing this opportunity to be real life engineers, students will bring along life long skills ( problem solving , caring for others, and critical thinking) that will help make them empowered to help others in need.
