My students are super engaged with each other during math and that is why they do so well. They love coming up to the board to demonstrate their thinking and critiquing the reasoning of others. This has been really accessible during the past years because we have had excellent presentation slides to guide the lessons. Many of these lessons are purchased from the Teachers Pay Teachers website. However, this year we have a new curriculum and the most beneficial slides are quite costly. They will help my students recognize their learning goals for each daily lesson, help to engage them with personal whiteboards and notebooks, and drive our mathematical conversations. The extra visual support makes a world of difference!
