Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach 4th-grade​ students who defy the odds every day. My school is a Title I school where almost every child deals with poverty. However, they come to school ready to learn and excited for the day! They cherish and appreciate everything given to them and they work super hard. In my classroom, we love to read and use our books to explore different places. Some of my students have never been past our town limits and I want to give them the opportunity to explore and have their voice heard in our classroom!

My Project

This project will give my students the ability to fully run their computers. As of now, none of my students have headphones, therefore their computers have to be on silent or so low that it's hard to hear. With headphones, they can use their computers towards their full potential.

Something as small as headphones can make the biggest change!

With your help and donations, my students will have the flexibility to use their computers as educational tools to explore the world outside of the classroom. They'll be better readers being able to read along with a story online. They'll be able to present easier with the mouse and keyboard.
