As an educator I want to provide meaningful and motivating opportunities for my students to engage in learning.

I want my students to love learning and engage in problem solving. Help me meet my goal!

I teach 28 diverse first grade students. Many of my students travel from all over the world so that their parents can attend a University in the United States. They are eager to learn and discover the world around them. Their parents are doing everything they can to set their students up for success. In my community, there is a strong passion for education.

My Project

My students will use these headphones during times that require using tablets or computers. We need these headphones because technology can be noisy and can become very distracting. They use their tablets and computers for all subject areas, including literacy and math centers. The tablet and computer games help meet students diverse learning needs. Focus on these activities is essential. This will also allow me to teach small groups of students with minimal distractions.

This will improve my classroom environment and our small group learning communities.

Students will be able to focus on their daily independent work because the headphones will keep our classroom quiet. They will also make it so we can focus on small group instruction. In addition it will help the students using technology to focus on the task at hand. Headphones are so important when using technology in the classroom.
