My classroom is located at a Title I school in the W.C. School District. I have 14 students in the morning and 18 in the afternoon.
My class includes 32 children with developmental delays or disabilities.
I strive to provide appropriate curriculum and support, with the goal of each child being prepared to succeed in kindergarten.
My students are active and motivated to explore new opportunities and materials. School is a place where they feel safe and accepted, allowing them to gain new skills and develop a love of learning.
My Project
Outside play is essential for my young students, my classroom is located at an elementary school that does not have appropriate play equipment for my three to five year old students.
This project would provide playground balls, rings and sand toys for my young students with special needs.
These items will help my young students expand their outdoor play and encourage cooperation with peers.
The portable ball locker will allow me to easily move the outdoor equipment from my classroom to the playground and provide a safe place for the equipment to be store when it is not in use.
