Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year our schools are experiencing difficulty with many teaching positions being cut and overcrowded classrooms. In one of my classes, some students have to sit on the countertops.
I want to create a welcoming environment for all of my students, even in my biggest classes.
The rug will help me create more seating space by allowing some students to sit comfortably together with a lowered table to write on.
A lot of our students are still experiencing anxiety and frustration transitioning back into the classroom. Fidgets help them focus while allowing them a way to engage their extra energy.
