My students need write/wipe answer boards, a cd-rom math game, a Judy clock class set, dry erase markers, time tracker, and a math factor game to further their knowledge.

All students do not learn the same. Some need hands on and interactive activities to help them fully understand the concepts being taught from a textbook. My students will be motivated and engaged during our math lessons but more importantly become concrete learners in the math concepts presented.
I work in a low socioeconomic district located in New York.
Some students don't even have the necessary supplies needed during the school year. Due to increasing budget cuts, there never seems to be any money left over to maintain a functioning classroom, let alone any additional resources to help encourage my students and excite them about learning. My students have great potential but often are not confident in their abilities to do well and succeed. There are some that don't have the parental support and lack confidence in the classroom.
The materials I requested will help engage my students during math lessons to actively participate, and more importantly, work together to achieve a common goal. The interactive math game will help them to work as a team to solve challenging problems and the Judy clocks will help them to work independently. The dry erase boards will allow them to feel like they are taking an active part in their classroom learning. The educational math game will motivate their behavior to achieve a turn on the game while practicing basic math factor concepts. All of the materials would help their needs significantly.
Your donations will make a big difference in my classroom.
It will help to foster a positive learning environment where each student can take an active role in their education. The hands on activities will help present concepts visually and motivate their success. I can already see the smiles on their faces when they are able to use the materials.
