My Project

The skill of effective collaboration and technological literacy is key to finding a future in technology. My students understand this and how they take on technology and learn to apply it to their studies, never ceases to amaze me.

My students need a laptop to access their physical education portfolio site.

Our physical education staff is committed to making advancements in each unit of study and the implementation of the use of technology is an integral component to that growth.

Our students take pride in what they learn and have a genuine desire to go above and beyond in their assignments. The students are also very interested and excited about having the possibility to use technology in physical education. Our school is equally invested in the quality of our teachers' work. Our district and administration have supported us in as much as they can. Through technology, we believe we can accomplish this goal.

If granted, we would use the laptop immediately. We would now be able to accomplish several integral tasks in our lessons. Some of these are: -Being able to access our online lesson notes.. -Being able to edit and share their individual student PE portfolios during class time on the blacktop or in the field. -Allowing students to view task assignments and video -Allowing video capability to provide video feedback to students -Allowing us to stream information/videos to display monitors -Allowing students who are injured or ill to still participate within the class environment.

The laptop will allow me as a teacher to create lessons that will have the students be more "thinkers" and "creators", being more in control of "how" they learn. This will also allow me to implement more Common Core lessons which are required by current educational PE standards. Thank you for your consideration!
