My Students
My Kindergarteners are energetic, imaginative, and excited to take on challenges. I strive to continually make my classroom a place where my students can build confidence and learn through their own curiosity and inspiration.
To support my diverse group of learners, I need to offer them a variety of ways to learn and interact with their environment.
In order to foster their independence my students areas in the classroom that provide them with comfort and security to concentrate and complete their task.
My Project
Learning is an active process and sitting still for a lesson or to complete a task is not the best match for all children. Alternative seating options in my classroom will provide sensory input to the Kindergarteners who are easily distracted and who often distract others.
These wobble stools and BackJack chairs will provide seating options that can increase attention, improve participation, and behavior.
In addition, these new work stations will help students strengthen muscles. Improved muscle tone will improve posture, reduce restlessness, build confidence, and self-control. This growth and development will lead to improved stamina and ultimately to academic success.
