I teach Kindergarten at a Title 1 school.
Majority of my students come from single parent homes and are on free or reduced lunch. However, my students come to school everyday ready to learn. They strive to do their best in all areas of life and face their challenges.
My Project
I am requesting a class set of two versions of the POP games. My students need to practice their letters and sight words in order to improve their reading. The POP for letters game helps students learn their letters and practice letter recognition. The POP for sight words game helps students learn common words. Letter recognition and sight word recognition are foundational skills when learning to read. These games will allow my students to learn while having fun.
Each student will receive their own game as a Christmas present.
My students will be provided the opportunity to play a game with their family. This will create memorable family time that is so often missing in their lives. By applying to become one of Santa's elves, you will be providing my students with the gift of knowledge.
