This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Welcome to the world of speech and language. My students have a range of communication needs, and often ask me for new interesting books to share with them. My students needs exposure to classic authors and literacy rich environments that they might not be able to experience otherwise!
My student range from k-5 with classifications such as Autism, learning disabilities, visual impairments, and emotional disturbances.
Our school is a public school k-5 which address the needs of these varied learning types. My students are truly team players who enjoy helping one another and know that they are working toward their goals in speech class.
My Project
By helping us reach our goal you will be putting a book into the hands of a student who struggles everyday to read and communicate their thoughts. With these books and my help, these students will enter a new world filled with wonderful adventures, rich vocabulary, and exciting narrative structures that will influence their verbal expression in an amazing way!
This project is important because our school has very limited funds for purchasing new books and materials for our students.
Our students deserve the very best, and I am sure that these books will help our students receptive and expressive language skills blossom!
