Help Us Wiggle While We Learn on Wobble Stools!

My students need Kore wobble stools, yoga balls, and other flexible seating options to give them more choice within the classroom while allowing for movement while they are learning.

My Students

We are a small school located in a rural area outside of Sacramento. We have a large English Learner population and many of our students are on free and reduced lunch. Most of our students don't live in the town where our school is located, but live in West Sacramento and the Rio Vista school district attendance zones.

We have formed partnerships with local farms in the area.

We focus on project based learning and outdoor education. Our school culture promotes a positive discipline model where students' voices are encouraged and celebrated. Our teachers create authentic, engaging lessons that are focused around 21 century skills! We believe that all children deserve to be excited to come to school because they know that the teachers and staff support and care about them.

My Project

Giving my students comfortable seating options in our classroom will help them be more successful in class. We are in need of Wobble Chairs, Stay-N-Play Children's Balance Ball, portable lap desks, and Bouncy Chair Bands for Kids.

These flexible seating options will help my 'fragile' students control their fidgeting and attention deficit issues.

This also allows them to choose which option will be best for them. A few of my students have been diagnosed with autism and others with delicate backgrounds that affect their ability to sit in a classroom. I have modified my lessons as much as possible to help them with content, but believe that new seating options will continue to aid in their success.

Some of the benefits of flexible seating includes burning more calories, using up excess energy, improving metabolism, increased motivation and engagement, creating a better oxygen flow to the brain, and improving core strength and overall posture. It's no surprise that physical activity is linked to higher academic performance, better health, and improved behavior
