Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
On April 8, 2024, a solar eclipse is coming to NY! The path of totality does not pass through New York City. However, safety glasses are still needed to be able to view the partial eclipse safely. I would love to be able to hand a pair of glasses to each student in the school.
The eclipse will occur right after the school day and I would feel good knowing that my students and coworkers have the tools needed to safely view this incredible astronomical event.
The next time a solar eclipse will happen in NY is 2045!
