My Students

How do you know what you look like when you are doing something great? Isn't it fun to video tape successes to look back on during the year? Help us get a video camera for our classroom!

I teach Title I middle school and high school math students at a public charter school in a high-poverty area.

Most of my students get free or reduced lunch and are a number of years behind grade level in math content knowledge. These students face significant challenges both inside, as well as outside, the classroom.

My Project

We are requesting a video camera so we can tape our successes throughout the year. My students work on projects throughout the year and give presentations. It is great when their presentations can be taped, allowing them to look back on their hard work. They LOVE being on video, so why not have our own camera in the classroom?

Students need to see what they are doing well in the classroom.

Reflecting on successes is a huge confidence builder and watching video of successes in the classroom can help tremendously with that. My students are excited about the possibility of having a video camera available in the classroom.
