We are a second and third grade Special Education classroom at an Arts Magnet Elementary School. Our school’s vision is to cultivate our students' academic and personal potential through arts-infused learning centered on exploration, innovation, creativity, and empowerment.
Our classroom has nine diverse students with Autism, ADD/ADHD, sensory deficits, multiple disabilities, behavior deficits, hearing impairments, and speech and language impairments.
Our class is filled with diverse learners with a variety of different needs and learning styles. Our school is labeled as a Title I, and our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
We are so excited to be a part of an A+ school, and we need your help to provide our classroom with new material to help us learn in arts-infused, interactive ways!
My Project
My class is seeking Osmo sets to incorporate into our daily or weekly routine. Technology programs provided by the school often meet the needs of the entire school, rather than focusing on the program being inclusive for all different types of learners (due to budgeting reasons of course). I am seeking some interactive kits to try with my students with the help of the match offer through Verizon.
Please help give my students with varying learning styles the opportunity to try a new technology program that is hands on, easy to operate, and exciting.
Technology has always been difficult for me to incorporate into the classroom, especially independently. Websites are often confusing to login to and operate, resulting in lack of attention and focus from my kiddos. Please help support us on this project!
