This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are in need of watering cans with narrow spouts, seeds and soil for our upcoming plant unit. Each student will plant a seed of their choice and are responsible for planting and watering their seed. We do not have classroom watering cans, so thought it would be nice for each first grade class to have two.
We are a Title I school where many of our students live in apartments and don't have the opportunity to plant and garden.
After caring for our seedlings, we plan on planting them in our courtyard garden where our students will continue to care and watch them grow.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
