Help me give my students access to clarity as our current projector in my classroom is nearing the end of its life and there is currently no budget for upgrading them in the classroom.

My Students

Our mission statement charges the faculty and staff with engaging "all learners in a safe and nurturing environment that fosters academic excellence and develops responsible, respectful leaders and citizens." This statement goes beyond school climate - beyond high academic standards - and combines the two to create a developmentally responsive, socially equitable, and academically challenging environment for our students.

I've noticed students overcome many challenges, especially in the past year.

With a majority of their intermediate school years interrupted by COVID and quarantines, I'm so proud to see the progress they are making. One thing I've learned in my 12 plus years as an educator is that students are resilient. My students come from many socioeconomic backgrounds and do not have the same life experiences. There are multiple languages spoken throughout our school, and even in our classroom regularly. These are just a few of the reasons I continually try to better myself for them.

Our faculty and staff members work together to give every child who passes through our doors the keys to success - not only in school but also in the community. We believe in building relationships with our students that extend beyond the classroom.

My Project

Students in my classroom have commented in previous years about the quality of our class projector. It is currently over 20 years old, and although the bulb has been replaced multiple times, the quality of the projection is sorely lacking.

A new classroom projector will ensure that even students in the back of the classroom have clear access to the material and content presented.

At least 90% of presented material is administered via the classroom projector, and I often find myself having students come to the front and sit on the floor so they can see the board more clearly. With a new, high-quality projector, student learning will not have to be interrupted or hindered by poor-quality projection.
