My Students

Have you ever tried to work on a project, but can't concentrate do to the distraction of others working around you?

My students are sixth graders from the May 22nd tornado in Missouri.

These sixth graders are awesome kids that are eager to learn, and love doing hands on projects on the computer. All of the students become involved with learning when doing hands on projects. Our school is a public middle school.

My Project

In my classroom, I incorporate music into my lessons to teach the children such things as poetry, figures of speech, etc. In our projects, the students create their own music and write their own poems, then record themselves singing/reading them. Not only will students learn to recognize various necessities of the English language, they will also learn more about technology and how to use it in their daily lives.

During our projects, it is very easy for students to get distracted by each others work.

Some find it difficult to even hear their own music. I'm requesting headphones that would make it much easier for all the students to be able to complete their work more efficiently with less distractions.
